The number of fixed broadband connections rose by 1.1 million in 2015 to 30.7 million, according to the German Federal Network Agency, and by connecting to the e-shelter data centre in the German capital WINGAS equipped the location with faster transmissions.
"Through the connection to the Berlin data centre we can offer our customers attractive products locally, said Jürgen Alberti, the responsible project manager at WINGAS. “Networking throughout Germany is also possible, and at the same time we will extend the fiber-optic market toward Northern and Eastern Europe.”
Since March, WINGAS has now been able to provide its customers with fiber-optic capacities at another part of the capital.
