21 April 2016 |
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) has appointed Jack Chen as CEO, replacing acting CEO Jeff Ma.
Chen brings over 25 years of experience in the telecoms industry and was previously head of Asia Pacific (APAC) and China Wireless business in Alcatel-Lucent in which he was said to double its mobile business in three years.
Chen will lead the charge on implementing ALE’s new business strategy as the company seeks to transition into a cloud-based network and communications firm.
“I look forward to building on the excellent foundation that Jeff, the management team and all of the employees have put in place. I see significant opportunities for ALE based on our strong product portfolios and innovative business models that better serve our customers,” said Chen.
ALE introduced a new business strategy in the first quarter of 2016 aimed at providing choice and flexibility to its customers in how they use networking and communications technology in a new “as-a-service” economy.
