FiberLight, the fibre connectivity solutions provider, has appointed Mike Kopp as its new vice president of channel.
In this new role Kopp will be
responsible for designing FiberLight’s channel
program as well as heading up the company’s
channel sales team and leading it towards revenue growth.
Kopp was personally selected by Don McNeil,
FiberLight’s CEO and Marc Dyman, the
company’s EVP and chief revenue officer, to form
its new channel partner program that will act as its own
department within the sales team. Once completed this will mark
Kopp’s third channel program build following his
success at Colt and Cogent.
"It’s our vision for this channel partner
program to become a viable alternative to local exchange
carriers and cable operators by offering customers diverse
fibre options, said Dyman. "In hiring Mike Kopp as our vice
president of channel, we are investing in a trusted and
experienced channel veteran that has successfully built
programs from the ground floor, creating new revenue streams
for multiple organizations. With his help, we expect the
channel to become a key enabler of FiberLight’s
go-to-market strategy, expanding our reach and service to a new
pool of customers."
The channel will be aimed at the agent community focussing
on consistency across contracts, commission payments, rules of
engagement and pricing parity.
Before joining FiberLight Kopp was able to increase sales
revenues with one of the largest master agents in the telecoms
sector, growing the channel partner program to $100,000 monthly
recurring charge all in year one.
Commenting on his own appointment Kopp said: "The cloud has
