Cloud data management and backup vendor Veeam Software has posted another quarter of double-digit growth, with an annual recurring revenue (ARR) increase of 25% year-over-year for Q121.

Veeam kicked off the year with its expansion of public cloud support with the general availability of Veeam Backup for Google Cloud Platform, complementing Veeam Backup solutions for AWS and Microsoft Azure.

Veeam Backup & Replication v11 was also released in the quarter with an additional 200 enhancements covering backup, cloud, DR, security and automation, said the supplier.

“The double-digit YoY growth across all geos provides further validation that our solutions are leading the way in the industry and providing customers simple, flexible and reliable data protection that meets their needs,” said William Largent (pictured), chief executive officer and chairman of Veeam.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 reported 156% growth YoY in the quarter and Veeam Universal License (VUL) - the portable license that enables IT agility and workload mobility for multi- and hybrid cloud enterprises - accounted for 88% growth YoY.

The company will hold its virtual VeeamON 2021 partner and customer conference 25-26 May.

Earlier this month, Veeam rival Acronis received over $250m in a new funding round and planned to spend it on expanding its partner channel, further developing products and increasing its headcount globally. The money was received from CVC Capital Partners VII and other investors.
