TDC Group has named Allison Kirkby as the CEO that will drive the next phase of the Danish telecommunications company’s transformation – stepping into her new role in December 2018.
Kirkby, a familiar name within the international telco industry, currently holds the position of president and Group CEO at Tele2 AB. She joined Tele2 AB in 2014 as chief financial officer and has been CEO of Tele2 since 2015. Prior to joining Tele2, she held senior operational and finance positions in the telco industry, at the converged operator, Virgin Media, in the media industry at Shine Group (21st Century Fox), and in FMCG at Procter & Gamble.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce that we have appointed Allison Kirkby as the new CEO of TDC Group. With her experience from the industry and her visionary leadership, there is no better person to lead TDC Group than Allison,” said Bert Nordberg, chairman of the Board of directors at TDC Group.
Kirkby replaces Pernille Erenbjerg, who has served as CEO for TDC Group since 2015. Erenbjerg announced her resignation back in May when TDC Group was acquired, though stayed on board to support the transition with the new group of shareholders.
Erenbjerg will stay in role until Kirkby joins in December 2018.
