China Telecom to launch Australian MVNO
05 December 2014 |
China Telecom is set to launch an MVNO in Australia, according to local reports this week.
The service, offered under the CTExcelbiz brand, is allegedly designed to target Australia’s Chinese population.
The MVNO will offer 4G services to customers and was tested in Brisbane, Australia, during a visit from Chinese government officials for the G20 summit.
China Telecom has been offering the CTExcelbiz service in the UK and France since 2012, and is thought to be considering expanding this into other European markets as well as the Middle East and Africa.
