PLDT partners with NTT Com for enterprise customers
29 July 2014 |
NTT Communications has signed a partnership with Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) to provide its enterprise customers with NTT Com’s enterprise cloud solution.
The infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) solution will enable PLDT to combine NTT’s enterprise cloud and its own network services for Philippine-based enterprises. It will also enable enterprises to expand their global operations by tapping into countries where NTT Com’s cloud is present.
NTT Com’s cloud is presently located in Japan, US, UK, Germany, Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia, as well as 11 data centre locations.
The service will be commercially available in September.
"We are very pleased to offer this highly value-added IaaS solution to clients through our new partnership," said PLDT's EVP Eric Alberto.
"NTT Com provides optimum ICT solutions for multinationals operating out of the Philippines, and for Philippine corporations who choose to go global. With this partnership between NTT Com and PLDT, our clients may now capitalise on PLDT's local accessibility and interfacing, and also seamless, high-quality cloud services," he added.
Last October, PLDT also signed a partnership with PCCW Global that enabled both companies to jointly provide IP VPN services to customers all over the world.
