Veysel Aral, TeliaSonera

TeliaSonera has appointed Veysel Aral as president of business area for Eurasia. Aral is presently CEO of Kcell and regional head of Central Asia.

He succeeds Tero Kivisaari who has been heading two roles since his appointment as president of business mobility services in October 2012.

Aral will continue his role as CEO of Kazakhstani mobile phone operator Kcell and will largely be based in Istanbul, Turkey and Almaty, Kazakhstan.

He joined TeliaSonera in 2007 and held several managerial positions at Ericsson prior to the move. Aral holds a BSc in Physics Engineering from Middle East Technical University in Istanbul, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Physics.
