Sprint Nextel Custom Network Solutions (CNS) has selected Ruckus Wireless to help the delivery of solutions to its enterprise, public sector and federal customers through Smart Wi-Fi products.
Sprint’s CNS unit said it has adopted Ruckus’ technology to meet the growing number of smartphone users requiring Wifi signals in areas which experience erratic interference and constant traffic.
Ruckus’ solution helps steer Wifi signals where required, increasing reliability and range by allowing the system to adapt to a changing environment, the company claims.
Sprint will use Ruckus’ solutions in the hospitality, education, healthcare, retail and warehousing markets.
“With Ruckus, we're expanding our in-building wireless portfolio in CNS with proven carrier-class Wi-Fi technology at a time when reliable wireless connectivity has never been more important,” said Tim Donahue, VP of solutions and international sales, Sprint.
“We want to give our enterprise and public sector customers the best possible wireless data experience in-building with products and technology purpose-built to deliver reliable, carrier-grade wireless performance,” he added.
