Personal Paraguay launches LTE network
15 February 2013 |
Mobile operator Personal Paraguay has launched its LTE network in the capital city of Asunción.
The network is initially expected to cover only the capital and its surroundings, but it will gradually be expanded across the country, according to local reports.
The company is expected to invest over $20 million in the deployment of the network.
Personal has introduced four LTE service plans ranging from 12 to 30Gb tariffs at approximately $39 and $61 per month respectively, all of which include antivirus software and personal cloud service.
An introductory offer provides subscribers with free movie access via the personal video service for six months, as well as 50% off their monthly fee for the first three months after the service has been activated.
The new network bolsters Paraguay’s position as a prospective player in the Latin American telecommunications market.
