Zayo-owned zColo will provide the co-location and data centre facility for PCCW Global’s recently launched PoP in New York.
The new facility is expected to be tailored to allow PCCW’s customers access the operator’s full range of services, including video, IP, transmission and voice solutions. zColo will provide the co-location space and power for the New York facility, and allow the operator an interconnection through zColo’s facility to enable carrier-neutral connection and cross connect infrastructure capability.
“PCCW Global has been continuously strengthening its global network and the new PoP in zColo’s data centre provides customers with enhanced coverage and increased diversity options,” said Marc Halbfinger, CEO at PCCW Global.
As part of growing expansion in the US for the Hong Kong-based operator, zColo believes it has the capability to aid further development and extend PCCW’s reach in the region.
"PCCW is an important service provider who will expand the network options and services available to our customers," said Steven Finnerty, VP of sales at zColo. "zColo will be able to support PCCW Global’s growth and expansion in the US."
