Lumen names VP of sales and customer success for EMEA
Lumen Technologies has named Ian Cunningham as its new VP of sales and customer success for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Moving over from Zayo, Cunningham will take responsibility for leading the company’s enterprise, wholesale and indirect sales and customer success operations throughout this key region.
He joins the firm as it pivots to focus on emerging technologies and the impact of the 4th Industrial Revolution on business and connectivity. As such, Lumen said Cunningham would "focus on enabling the potential of customers, by utilising the Lumen technology platform that allows enterprises to leverage their data and adopt the next-generation business applications vital to their growth and digital business success".

Cunningham has more than 25 years of experience within the communications and technology industries and is no stranger to Lumen, having previously held a senior sales positions at Level 3 Communications; a business that was acquired by CenturyLink, which itself rebranded to Lumen last year. Most recently, Cunningham was SVP of sales for Europe at Zayo and has also held senior roles at Vodafone and BT, as well as Experian, where he was MD.
