Colt Technology Services confirms that it now offers connectivity to i-TEC Cloud Connect, a new service from ITEC Hankyu Hanshin Co (ITEC).

TEC offers such solutions like cloud design, implementation, and operations. In September 2020, the company also gained a Service Delivery Program certified partner qualification, making it the first partner in the Kansai region to support AWS Direct Connect.

The company also launched i-TEC Cloud Connect, an AWS dedicated connection service backed by Colt’s Ethernet VPN. ITEC selected this solution as it required a flexible and scalable network that connects to various environments.

“It is essential to ensure business continuity for i-TEC Cloud Connect customers. Colt’s IQ Network is both high quality and stable, perfectly satisfying our requirements for a connectivity backbone. We also appreciate Colt’s prompt and friendly support, including for technical aspects,” said Hiroyuki Oku, manager at computer system department, i-TEC Hankyu Hanshin Co.

Colt’s Ethernet VPN is a wide-area Ethernet service that enables organisations to create advanced multipoint, global networks that interconnect business locations in a flexible and scalable manner. It also enables customers with distributed organisational structures to connect each location in an any-to-any logical topology.

“Every year, the demand for public cloud utilisation and hybrid cloud computing is increasing. We expect to receive more inquiries in the future. Since it’s not necessary to build new lines when adding users, Colt Ethernet VPN also generates cost savings for us,” added Oku.

An advantage of using Colt’s Ethernet VPN for any additional global locations that it is quick to deploy, 10 business days, which in turn leads to cost efficiencies.

Additionally, the bandwidth can be extended up to 40Gbps and Multi-Class of Service (CoS) options can also be added. ITEC also confirms plans to further expand i-TEC Cloud Connect by adding various public clouds such as AWS and Azure.

“Demand for public clouds and implementing hybrid clouds is accelerating in all markets. Under these circumstances, the existence of i-TEC Cloud Connect is encouraging those customers who require security and quality to utilise the cloud,” said Oku.

“In order to develop services that meet the various needs of our customers, we look forward to continuing to work with Colt to acquire and maintain a high-quality and flexible network.”
