The US Green Building Council recognised its compliance with the strictest environmental criteria during the design, construction and day-to-day operation. The facility is supported by multiple uplinks to Tier 1 providers and is capable of hosting ultra-high-density racks.
"Corporate data is probably the most critical asset of any organisation being a constant area of concern. While businesses grow, their priorities change, requiring an advanced environment able to accommodate their current needs and successfully anticipate those emerging," a company statement said.
"Athens-2 data centre by LAMDA HELLIX introduces the new era of the data centre industry."
The Southeast European data centre provider launched its first data centre in September 2003 and says it has recorded 13 years of zero-downtime and uninterrupted operations to date.
The Athens-2 facility has also been recognised as a leading EMEA data centre.
