Epsilon has deployed virtual PoPs in London, UK and Fujairah, UAE for Wananchi Telecom, which will provided the Kenya-based operator with access to more than 500 carriers and network service providers locally and internationally.
Epsilon will also deliver outsourced network services to Wananchi Telecom, as well as a remote hands service for cabling, installation and PoP management.
“The team at Epsilon understands our goals and needs in the Africa market and created a scalable solution that meets new demand,” said Rakesh Kukreja, managing director at Wananchi Business Services (WBS).
“The flexibility and scalability of an outsourced solution is critical for our long-term success and that is what Epsilon has delivered.”
Wananchi Telecom is operational in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Mozambique, South Africa, London, UAE and Mumbai, and as part of the agreement, Epsilon will have access to the operator’s African footprint to enhance its presence in the region.
