SingTel targets Japanese enterprises

SingTel has launched a range of ICT solutions targeting Japanese enterprises.

The company is said to be offering managed services, such as data centre hosting, security services and network management, to help support Japanese companies expanding in the Asia-Pacific region

The solutions were showcased at an event organised by SingTel, which was attended by 300 representatives of Japanese companies and ICT service providers.

Lim Seng Kong, managing director of global enterprise business at SingTel said: “By offering convenient low-setup, on-demand, pay-as-you-consume plans, SingTel can support Japanese companies which are keen to transform their businesses with asset-light business models.”

The company’s interest in the region comes just weeks after it launched the Southeast Asia-Japan Cable (SJC), a route now operational across seven countries.

Data centre provider, Equinix, also announced on Tuesday that it is to open its first data centre in western Japan, with a 12,000 square feet centre in Osaka.
