Osman Turan, Ucell

Ucell, TeliaSonera’s subsidiary in Uzbekistan, has appointed Osman Turan as CEO.  Turan comes from his position as head of Ncell in Nepal for the role, and also held a senior role at Geocell in Georgia for eight years prior to his latest appointment at TeliaSonera.

Turan will be largely responsible for the company’s operations in Uzbekistan, and succeeds Ali Agan, who became CEO of Kcell, TeliaSonera’s Kazakhstani subsidiary, on June 1 2013.

TeliaSonera has reshuffled a number of C-level executives in its subsidiaries over the last six months, with Pasi Koistinen taking over as CEO for Geocell in December last year.
