The site in Moscow is Telehouse’s 45th data centre globally and was developed in partnership with co-location specialist Dataspace.
It is located within a 6,200 square metre Dataspace site, claimed to be the only fully Tier 3 certified data centre in Moscow, and is 15 minutes from the Kremlin.
Telehouse Moscow will be managed by Telehouse’s European headquarters in London Docklands, and parent KDDI’s Russian operations will manage all on-site connectivity and managed services.
“Our new premium quality facility appeals to a diverse customer profile; we are seeing financial institutions, telcos and global online entertainment migrating into this data centre who recognise the potential of this untapped market,” said Michelle Reid, sales and marketing director EMEA at Telehouse.
The carrier neutral site includes iris and biometric hand scanners and offers shared facility management.
