Cheek will draw on his experience from his leading role in the creation of CenturyLink in 2009, which merged CenturyTel and Embarq. Cheek is responsible for product, marketing, sales, services and operations for the portfolio of wholesale products, including LightCore, which is offered to inter-exchange carriers, competitive local exchange carriers, wireless providers, pay telephone providers and local exchange carriers. Prior to joining CenturyLink, Cheek served as assistant VP of strategic sales and account management with Sprint’s business solutions department.
