Appointments in global and national businesses confirmed by CEO Jason Goodall (pictured).
NTT has named its new CFO following the departure of Dave Sherriffs, who spent 23 years with the company.
Aki Hattori has been promoted to the role, having previously held the positions of head of corporate finance and governance and vice president for the global business office. In addition, Hattori sits on the legal boards of several of the group’s operating companies, as well as on the NTT’s audit and risk committee.
Goodall said: “While the integration of 31 companies and brand into NTT Ltd. is largely behind us, we still have a lot to deliver and I am delighted that Aki, a well respected member of the global finance community, will be leading our financial strategy and community."
Currently based in Tokyo, Hattori will move to London for the role. He will be tasked with driving financial growth at the £11 billion firm as it focuses on its strategy to drive managed and high-value services. Today these represent approximately 40% of NTT’s revenue and the ambition is to grow this to over 60% of revenue, in the next five years.
“I would also like to thank Dave Sherriffs for the incredible impact he has had on our business having led the team through many changes in our companies’ history, the most recent being the formation of NTT Ltd,” Goodall added.
Last year Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) unveiled NTT Ltd, a global entity with 19 new executives leading operations across 28 companies, including NTT Security and NTT Communications.
Meanwhile at NTT DATA UK, Roei Haberman has been appointed as the new SVP of sales transformation and head of telco, media and technology (TMT).
With 20 years of TMT experience, Haberman will be responsible for growing NTT DATA’s engagement with the TMT industry, as well as helping to evolve NTT DATA’s long-term client relationships and “bringing innovation to the wider market”.
He has previously worked as the regional VP for Amdocs, where he headed a host of transformational programmes for global clients and was responsible for working on the management of start-ups, as part of the Amdocs Ventures fund.
Haberman said: “I am delighted to be joining NTT DATA. At this time of economic uncertainty, I believe now more than ever that companies with strong innovation and R&D can help businesses to deliver game-changing digital solutions, faster. It is important for our business to be bold and confident in its ability to provide outstanding quality services to our clients and build long-standing partnerships, across many different markets.”
