Hurricane Electric has expanded its global IPv6-native internet backbone by establishing a new point of presence (PoP) in the Infomart Dallas Building Meet-Me Room (BMMR).
"Hurricane Electric is excited to partner with Infomart Data Centers," said Mike Leber, president of Hurricane Electric. "This partnership will provide increased bandwidth and global network connectivity options for customers in Infomart Dallas."
The Infomart Dallas BMMR, launched in 2015, is now home to 13 carriers, which also include: Verizon, Level 3 Communications, Unite Private Networks, InnerCity FiberNet, Cogent Communications, WireStar Networks, Fibernet Direct, ServedBy the Net, and DE-CIX Dallas.
Infomart said its customers can “connect to any of the providers located in its BMMR at no monthly fee and an industry-standard set-up fee per cross-connect”.
John Sheputis, president of Infomart Data Centers, added: "In keeping with our commitment to providing industry-leading connectivity options for our clients, we are pleased to welcome Hurricane Electric to the Infomart Dallas BMMR. As one of the most connected buildings in the US, Infomart Dallas is the optimal location in the southeast region for linking to communication systems nationally and globally, especially for companies with latency-sensitive applications or that are deploying hybrid cloud."
Clients of carrier-neutral Infomart Dallas, a connectivity hub for southern US, can now gain access to Hurricane Electric with zero cross-connect fees.
