Infonas has signed up to the Amazon Web Services Partner Network (APN) as a standard technology partner, allowing it to provide AWS Direct Connect to its customers.
As part of the APN, Infonas, which provides voice and data services across its advanced network, will be able to connect its customers to AWS infrastructure regions in Europe.
Infonas has network points of presence in London, Germany, France, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and supports local access connectivity at speeds from 1Mbps to 10Gbps using either SDH, Carrier Ethernet or MPLS.
Hamad Al-Amer, managing director of Infonas, praised the achievement, whilst emphasising the role this will achieve in promoting cloud computing services in the region amongst its customer base, especially those in the public sector.
The move aligns with the vision of Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to make Bahrain the regional centre for international communications in the Middle East,
