ReTN joins AMS-IX partner programme

AMS-IX has announced a partnership with ReTN for the international network operator to join its partner programme.

The agreement will enable ReTN to provide its range of wholesale and corporate clients with access to its exchange platform in Amsterdam, and will increase the company’s presence across Western Europe.

As an official AMS-IX reseller, ReTN will be able to resell AMS-IX ports anywhere the company has infrastructure connected to AMS-IX co-locations in Amsterdam, and the agreement is designed to provide customers with increased peering benefits.

“We started our activities in the Russian and Eastern European markets, but through customer demand extended our network to Western Europe, North America and Asia too. As more access providers and content companies rely on ReTN to deliver their traffic globally and improve their network, our partnership with AMS-IX is an important step in our growth strategy,” said Tony O’Sullivan, director of ReTN.

Mark Cooper, CCO of AMS-IX, said ReTN’s presence in the continent will enable AMS-IX to grow its presence in Eastern and Western Europe.

“ReTN is a well-known name in our industry and we are very pleased that the group decided to join our platform. I believe this collaboration will be beneficial for both parties”, he added.

AMS-IX has been targeting growth in the US market, and recently announced a partnership with Akamai in New York.
