EdgeConneX and Zenlayer will collaborate to deliver new edge cloud and networking solutions to enterprises that are within the EdgeConneX global data centre footprint.

Zenlayer services include on-demand bare metal cloud, direct connections to all major public clouds and data centres, application acceleration, and managed hosting.

Through the partnership with EdgeConneX to bring these solutions to local markets close to enterprise locations will help remove the barriers to cloud adoption such as performance, security, and costs and make it easier to implement hybrid and multi-cloud strategies.

"We are excited to partner with EdgeConneX to create improved user experiences and lower latency for their customers," said Joe Zhu (pictured), founder and CEO of Zenlayer.

"EdgeConneX data centres offer the perfect platform for us to offer our edge cloud services thanks to their global locations and extensive connectivity. We look forward to expanding access for digital businesses in underserved and emerging markets."

EdgeConneX has a global data centre footprint of over 40 data centres in more than 30 markets around the globe. Together with Zenlayer, enterprise customers can use global networking and cloud solutions to securely migrate workloads to public or private cloud more cost effectively and with enhanced performance due to the reduced latency delivered by near by hybrid cloud solutions.

"Partnering with a leading Edge Cloud Service provider like Zenlayer makes perfect sense for EdgeConneX, as a leading Edge Data Center provider. Together we are helping bring the cloud to the customer, making it a low latency, high performing, secure and economical offering that is tailored to the customer's unique requirements locally,” added Phillip Marangella, chief marketing officer at EdgeConneX.

“For healthcare providers, cloud gaming companies, financial institutions, manufacturers or retailers, or any other enterprise, the benefits of an integrated hybrid, multi-cloud solution brought locally to the edge can have a real impact on their business."
