Schneider Electric launches new APC Easy Rack PDU

Schneider Electric has recently launched the APC Easy Rack Power Distribution Units (PDU) range, providing an easy-to-install, easy-to-use and customisable PDUs for connected loads.

The new APC Easy Rack PDU delivers power distribution that is both reliable and cost effective. From network closets and edge computing environments, to small and medium data centres, APC Easy Rack PDUs offers a resilient power continuity solution for end-users.

In addition, it features a user-friendly LCD screen, a multifunctional web interface and is fully customisable by colour, cord length and outlet number. The new range is also lighter than previous models and designed in aluminium housing means that installation is quick and easy for IT professionals, system integrators, electrical contractors and value-added resellers.

All APC Easy Rack PDUs meet high electromagnetic compatibility standards and safety verifications and come with cyber security protocols for authentication and encryption.

The three options within the APC Easy Rack PDU range offers a solution options to businesses of all size and scale. From small enterprises through to large, complex data centre builds the product can easily fit into an existing IT environment with ‘minimal time, resources or disruption to operations’.

In related news, in May UK-based software company Aveva partnered Schneider Electric to operate and maintain hyperscale data centres.

The project uses Aveva’s industrial software in its unified operations centre and Schneider’s EcoStruxure control and monitoring system for data centres.
