The former Corporate Controller for Minerva Networks has re-joined the company as CFO following confirmation that John Doerner is to retire.

Bringing his 25 years of industry experience back to the firm, Mike Davies will lead Minerva’s worldwide accounting, human resources, information technology and facilities departments.

“The pay television landscape is changing quickly and I see Minerva as being uniquely positioned to take advantage of the new trends in video entertainment,” said Davies.

“Minerva has responded effectively to major market changes over the years by focusing on customers’ needs and embracing new technologies that bring innovative services to subscribers worldwide. I am looking forward to working with everyone on the team to drive rapid business growth,” he continued.

Specialising in Silicon Valley enterprises, Davies has held executive level positions with Kumo, Cohere Technologies, and Entrisphere (acquired by Ericsson, where he led the finance function for multiple wireline product divisions). He holds a B.Sc. in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Durham in the UK.

“We are very excited to welcome Mike back to Minerva,” said Mauro Bonomi, Minerva’s CEO. “Mike’s strong financial background and prior experience at Minerva will enable him to come up to speed quickly and have an immediate impact.”
