BSO, an Ethernet network, cloud and hosting provider, has announced that it has become an official Google Cloud Partner Interconnect provider.

The first BSO clients are currently on-boarding with Partner Interconnect in Frankfurt and London, and the service will be available from all of the 100+ PoPs in data centres, offices and colocation environments currently on BSO’s global backbone.

“BSO delivers low-latency, high performance, highly available, private cloud infrastructure. Given the growing use of higher workload applications, such as those using artificial intelligence and machine learning, it is important for our clients to be able to easily burst into the public cloud from across the globe as their business demands,” said Emmanuel Pellé, COO at BSO.

“We are very pleased to be working with Google Cloud to deliver this increasingly popular hybrid cloud solution.”

Google Dedicated Interconnect can provide higher-speed and lower cost connectivity than a virtual private network (VPN) solution, and has become a “go-to” solution to connect on-premise data centres to Google Cloud. Partner Interconnect is a product in the Google Cloud Interconnect family that allows private enterprise access to Google Cloud Platform.

BSO customers can opt for a fully managed, secure private cloud environment with the ability to interconnect to Google Cloud privately from the BSO cloud platform or quickly extend their BSO hosted private networks into the public cloud. As part of the managed service, BSO monitors the infrastructure bandwidth and the state of the network ensuring that the client receives predictable performance, bandwidth and latency without the need to maintain their own infrastructure.

The company’s global network reaches 23 countries with 103 data centre locations comprising all the major trading venues. Key connected cities include Chicago, New York, Frankfurt, London, Dubai, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore.
