Windstream Enterprise (WE) is introducing a suite of local area network (LAN) services designed to enhance customer experience, improve employee productivity and gather analytics for rich business intelligence.

The new offering comes with the added convenience of working with a single provider to reduce complexity and strain in IT resources.

“Businesses tell us that innovation is hindered when their resources are bound to do-it-yourself solutions or complex multi-vendor environments for managing their LAN services,” said Mike Frane, vice president of product management, Windstream Enterprise. “We work with businesses to find, deploy and maintain the right solutions to solve their unique challenges, despite limited IT resources.”

WE’s LAN services have been designed to address key business challenges including Wifi, to meet internal demands. It includes centrally-managed switches that deliver ease of deployment and improved flexibility and intelligent IP cameras that go beyond security surveillance to drive business growth by gathering detailed analytics.

In addition, WE’s LAN services are a natural complement to Windstream Enterprises SD-WAN and UCaaS solutions that help businesses support employees, serve their customers and drive innovation.

On the wholesale side of the business, Windstream announced that its fixed wireless service will increase its wholesale Ethernet services footprint to customers in over 50 major metro markets. The new service adds 400,000 pre-qualified buildings that serve more than 3 million businesses with Windstream OnNet assets by providing primary access or redundant access solutions, complementing and operating in parallel to Windstream’s robust 150,000-mile core fibre footprint.
