DE-CIX becomes DE-CIX Group AG
DE-CIX, an internet exchange operator, has announced that all of its domestic and international activities and companies will be consolidated under the umbrella of the DE-CIX Group AG, effective immediately.
“With the new corporate structure and the consolidation of all DE-CIX activities under one umbrella, we are creating ideal conditions for our next phase of growth and further development,” said Harald A. Summa, CEO of the DE-CIX Group AG. “The global IT and telecommunications market is changing rapidly and, with the DE-CIX Group AG, we are optimally prepared for this change.
Under the new corporate structure, Harald A. Summa and Ivo Ivanov will lead the executive board responsible for the company’s global growth plans, serving as CEO and COO respectively.
“It is particularly important to us to be able to move quickly and flexibly in the global market and, as the world’s leader in operating Internet Exchanges, to be there where our customers need us. What’s more, with a constant stream of new services – such as our DirectCLOUD product – it is our goal to offer our customers the maximum added value from their business with DE-CIX,” adds Ivo Ivanov, COO of the DE-CIX Group AG.
The supervisory board is comprised of Felix Höger - the former chief operation officer & chief technology officer of QSC AG, as well as founder and CEO of PIRONET NDH AG – who will serve as chairman.

In addition, Klaus Landefeld, the vice-chair of the board at eco – Association of the Internet Industry, and Rudolf van Megen, chair of the board of the German ICT & Media Institute, and founder and CEO of SQS Software Quality Systems AG, complete the supervisory board.
