Verizon rumoured to be selling over $10 billion in assets

Verizon is reportedly near to closing deals to sell $10-15 billion in assets.

The proposed sales include its mobile towers and parts of its fixed-line business, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Multiple buyers will be involved in the deals, which could be announced as early as later this week, the report said.

The sales could cover Verizon’s $10.4 billion bid for mobile spectrum in last week’s FCC spectrum auction, as well as help reduce debt.

Verizon has declined to comment on any potential asset sales.
