Telx completes expansion project at two New York facilities

Telx has completed expansion projects at two of its major New York data centres.

The co-location and data centre provider has added 40,000 square feet to its NYC1 facility on 60 Hudson Street, after securing additional space at the end of 2013.

It also added 50,000 square feet to its NYC3 facility, located at 32 Avenue of the Americas within the New York greater metro area.

In December 2013, Telx announced an agreement to exclusively operate the interconnection facility, completing its build-out of additional co-location capacity in April 2014. It has since added a new floor at the facility to support a long-term anchor tenant, bringing its footprint to over 120,000 square feet within the building.

Both expansions highlight Telx’s growth in the New York City metropolitan area, where it serves over 870 customers.

"New York City remains a strategic market for us as we continue to grow our customer base and foster interconnection between enterprises and service providers in the region, as well as those across the globe," said Chris Downie, CEO at Telx.
