TELUS CEO to step down
Darren Entwistle, CEO of Canadian operator TELUS, has announced his resignation from the role. He will remain in the company as executive chair of the board, following the retirement of chairman Brian Canfield.
Entwistle has served as the company’s CEO since 2000 and will be replaced by Joe Natale, effective from May 8.
"Joe is an exceptionally proven and highly capable leader," Entwistle said in a statement. "I look forward to continuing to work closely with Joe and the TELUS board... as we strive to continuously create leading value for our investors, customers, team members and communities."
Natale leaves his role as CCO for TELUS, which he has held since 2010. Since joining the company in 2003 as an EVP, Natale has served as president of TELUS Business Solutions and president of TELUS Consumer Solutions.
