The Deutsche Telekom-owned operator is claiming to be the first to launch HD voice services nationwide and said the service would dramatically improve in-call voice quality and reduce background noise.
T-Mobile also said it has enhanced its 4G network in 46 metro areas and expanded the network to new markets, including: Denver, Los Angeles, San Diego and Virginia Beach.
The operator is rolling out its LTE network as part of a $4 billion investment, which includes improving signal strength, in-building coverage and re-tuning its 4G infrastructure to include the 1900MHz band.
“This year, we’re stepping on the gas again. We are making continued coverage improvements and launching an advanced LTE network that will reach 100 million people by mid-year and 200 million people by end of year,” said Neville Ray, CTO at T-Mobile USA.
