EdgeConneX is set to offer dedicated and private access to Oracle Cloud through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) FastConnect from their Edge Data Centres (EDCs).
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect will be available via Megaport from EDCs in Boston, Portland, Santa Clara, San Diego, Houston, and Phoenix, with several additional locations coming later this year.
The provider of global data centre solutions at the edge of the network is already a gold level member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) and is leveraging FastConnect to deliver superior cloud performance.
EdgeConneX customers will have rapid, direct access to Oracle’s industry-leading cloud platform with consistent performance, network isolation, and greater availability than possible through the public internet.
“Enabling and collaborating with the world’s leading service providers is one of the ways EdgeConneX ensures customers always receive the best possible service quality and value,” said Phillip Marangella, chief marketing officer at EdgeConneX.
“Providing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect from our Edge Data Centres enables enterprises to easily access the complete range of Oracle Cloud services via a high-performance private cloud on-ramp.”
Through collaboration with EdgeConneX, Oracle customers benefit from reliable network access to their cloud data and applications from across the US. This means improved performance, enhanced control, flexibility, and scalability that can provide access to critical business data and functions.
“Customers require seamless connectivity from their data centres and networks to Oracle Cloud for their most demanding workloads and applications,” added Kash Iftikhar, vice president of product development, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. “With the FastConnect Service, customers can provision the dedicated and private connections they need today and easily scale with their growing business demands.”
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect enables enterprise cloud connectivity to Oracle Cloud from trusted enterprise data centres. Connecting directly to the Oracle Cloud through Oracle FastConnect enables a fast, private connection to the industry’s broadest and most integrated cloud platform, with a complete range of services across Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).
At the start of the year, Digital Realty announced that it was set to offer dedicated and private access to Oracle Cloud in 14 major metropolitan areas and Tata Communications partnered with Oracle to deliver private access to Oracle Cloud to enterprises from more than 150 countries.
