Nikolai Beckers named as CEO of Ooredoo Algeria

Ooredoo Algeria has named Nikolai Beckers (pictured) as its new CEO.
With over 20 years’, experience across the telecoms and ICTO industries. He has held strong leadership skills and has a track record of success having lead a number of high profile companies across Europe and Asia including Deutsche Telekom and T-Online France.
“We welcome Mr. Nikolai Beckers to Ooredoo, and are confident that he will deliver sustained success during this period of change and transformation in the telecom sector," said Sheikh Saud Bin Nasser Al Thani, Ooredoo Group CEO.
Prior to joining Ooredoo, Beckers most recently served as CEO of Bakcell, the Azerbaijan-based mobile network provider.
Beckers also holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Köln, Germany.
According to DealStreet Asia, Indosat Ooredoo is working with JP Morgan as the sell-side advisor in the process. The $300 million valuation is as a result of the average value of around $100,000-200,000 for each tower. However, the estimate for each tower will vary depending on its location and tenancy, among other aspects.
