Altice said to target Bouygues takeover
16 February 2015 |
Altice is planning a potential takeover of France’s Bouygues Telecom, according to Bloomberg.
Altice is said to be investigating financial and regulatory obstacles to the deal and the two companies have already held informal discussions.
Speculations about the potential acquisition surfaced as early as November last year when billionaire Patrick Drahi, owner of Altice, said the company was interested in acquiring Bouygues.
Spokesmen from both Altice and Bouygues have declined to comment on the matter.
