01 December 2014 |
Lithuania’s Bite has completed phase two of its 3G network expansion to increase coverage in rural areas of the country.
The mobile operator has deployed additional base stations, implemented a software update and enhanced its network capacity in the country.
According to the Communications Regulatory Authority (RRT) in Lithuania, Bite has now increased its 3G network coverage to 95-97% of the country.
In August this year, the operator announced that it plans to invest €50 million in the deployment of an LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) network in Lithuania.
