NTT Communications has opened its Shanghai Pudong Data Centre in China today (November 20).

The facility offers approximately 2,600 sq m of server room, equivalent to 1,000 racks.

NTT Com hopes the facility will help meet the increasing demand for data centre services in China, where the market grew by 20% last year.

It will offer customers access to NTT Com’s Arcstar Universal One network service, which reaches 196 markets.

It marks the third data centre the company has opened in Shanghai.
