PCCW Global continues to extend Ethernet reach

30 August 2011 |

PCCW Global and Vietnamese telco FPT Telecom have extended their partnership by interconnecting their respective Ethernet networks.

The companies have had their MPLS networks interconnected since 2008 and will now be able to offer enterprise customers extended MPLS and VPN and switched Ethernet services.

PCCW Global’s SVP of Asia Pacific Stephen Pang said: “The enterprises in Vietnam have been looking for the best international connectivity solutions for overseas expansion and the collaboration will enable PCCW Global to capture this rising demand.”

For PCCW Global, the move further outlines its commitment to switched Ethernet. Earlier this month the subsidiary of PCCW Limited partnered with ICT solutions provider Internexa to also interconnect respective Ethernet platforms. The move extended the company’s presence across Latin America. For further information click here.
