Numbering intelligence company XConnect has expanded its operations with the appointment of three new directors.

Neville Adams (pictured) joins the team as sales account director, along with Fenton Bard as director market development and Chris Curd as global sales director business development and partner manager.

Tim Ward, vice president of number information services at XConnect, said: “XConnect is committed to serving the voice and messaging ecosystem. Our strategic new hires will help us to achieve our next phase of innovation. I have no doubt that our newly expanded team will take growth in global demand for trusted information for global connections to a new level.”

XConnect’s CEO and founder, Eli Katz, will be the guest on this week’s Capacity podcast, Digital Digest, which will be available from Friday.

XConnect has been a wholly owned subsidiary of US company Somos since mid-2021, and consolidates, maintains and delivers telephone number intelligence to telecommunications service providers. Somos, which was known as SMS/800 until 2015, is the administrator for the North American Numbering Plan (NANP), which covers all fixed and mobile phone numbers in Canada, the US and its territories, and some Caribbean countries.

Ward said: “We are excited to welcome Neville, Fenton and Chris to the XConnect team as we ramp up our capabilities and optimise our offering. With a track record of delivering successful outcomes in the technology industry, they will bring new ideas and diverse perspectives to the team as we take our services to new markets.”

Adams will support XConnect in building strategic growth through account management, securing new business opportunities and market development. He has comprehensive experience in a broad range of technology sectors including SMS solutions platforms in intellectual property management and most recently in building a software-as-a-service business.

Bard, with a background of sales, marketing and relationship management, will be taking on responsibility for developing supply and partnering relationships to allow XConnect to increase coverage, quality and revenue opportunities.

Curd’s background is in the payments and fraud protection industry, selling into the telcoms and carrier market. He will be committed to developing XConnect’s number information services carrier business and partner programme.
