The two brands focus on the defence industry and the student and residential markets respectively. Commenting on the deal, the CEO of Wifinity said the acquisition would help to drive growth in the newly introduced student accommodation business unit.
Wifinity said the deal would complement its “overall footprint as an ISP to the public sector”, improving its offering to Armed Forces personnel as well as to student and residential sectors.
Wifinity CEO Mark Parry, said: “Traditionally our business model has been built around organic growth and through innovation. Whilst innovation continues to be in our DNA, we are excited to be adding two new brands into our Group portfolio: Mediaforce, which focuses on the defence industry, and Optify, a well-established brand in the student and residential market.
“Wifinity is relatively new to the Student accommodation sector. So, this acquisition gives us an excellent springboard to accelerate our growth,” Parry added.
