G-Core Labs launches PoP in Argentina
G-Core Labs has announced a new point of presence (PoP) for its network infrastructure in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.
The company said the location offers customers fast content delivery services with an average response time of 30 ms, according to Citrix, an independent analytics system.
The company recently unveiled its plans for network infrastructure development in the Latin American continent and the company will open five new CDN points of presence by the end of the year.
"The point of presence in Argentina is an important element of the Latin American segment of G-Core Labs infrastructure,” said Dmitry Samoshkin, G-Core Labs vice president of products.
“The country is one of the three leading economies in the region and shows a consistent growth rate of Internet penetration: if today the world network is used by about 70% of the population of Argentina, by 2025, it is expected that 75% of residents of this country will regularly work, buy, watch and play using the Internet.
“We also note the interest in the region from our global clients from the e-commerce, gaming and media industries.”
The point of presence is located in a Tier III class data centre, according to the company.
Experts on high-load systems created the global architecture of G-Core Labs content delivery network, located on five continents, and it includes more than 100 points of presence in 65+ cities & 5000+ peering partners. The network capacity is 10+Tbit/sec.
The cloud and edge solutions provider recentlylaunched an AI platform that is part of the company’s public cloud.
The company said that the platform allows business and development teams to reduce the time-to-market of their applications based on artificial intelligence.
The platform supports a full machine learning cycle of any complexity and allows its users to organise continuous delivery of models, collaborate on them in real-time and access a catalogue of ready-made templates and models.
