The Telefonica-owned O2 has won the exclusive mobile distribution rights for the new Disney+ streaming service, due to launch on Tuesday 24 March.

Under the deal, O2 customers will be able to access Disney+ via mobile, online and TV. New and upgrading pay monthly O2 customers will be able to get six months of streaming while existing customers will be able to select the feature via the My O2 platform for £5.99 per month – they will then receive a £2 reduction off their monthly airtime bill.

Mark Evans, CEO of O2, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Disney to bring these incredible shows and movies to our customers, demonstrating that there are more reasons than ever to join the UK’s number one network.”
