Under the agreement, both parties aim to deliver more than £100 million in annual revenue from mobile, fixed line, broadband and IT services, as well as positions Onecom to take advantage of Vodafone’s ambitious growth plans in the B2B market.

In addition, the new deal includes a commitment by Onecom to triple growth in fixed line services and to become the market leader in unified communications solutions for the SME market.

Through the partnership, Onecom is well positioned to capitalise on Vodafone’s rollout of 5G, which begins on 3rd July this year. According to research figures from the company, 64% of SMEs could upgrade to 5G within six months of it becoming available to them.
The FTTP (fibre-to-the-premise) network will be built, operated and owned by CityFibre but under the terms of the wholesale agreement, Vodafone will have the right to a period of exclusivity (mostly during the build phase of each city network) - that will allow the telco to market consumer broadband services on the FTTP network.
