Tawasul Telecom, the provider of MPLS networking services in the Middle East and the Gulf region, has strengthened its roots in the Middle East by commissioning a new point of presence (PoP) in Egypt.

Through this new PoP, Tawasul Telecom has enhanced its international multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) gateway to the Middle East by opening up new data routes to Egypt, simultaneously offering regional businesses a greater range of solutions tailored to meet their connectivity needs.

“Our prime aim is to broaden our deliverables and enrich customers’ experience, to help expand our services and provide easy access to customers and global partners. We also aim to increase the quality of interconnectivity across an extensive digital supply chain, while maintaining Tawasul Telecom’s high technical standards,” said Veer Passi, CEO of Tawasul Telecom.

“The increase in demand for communication and applications is driving the need for advanced telecom infrastructures to host and transmit data and Tawasul is keen to cater to this need by constantly evolving our network and service offerings. Expanding our capabilities in Egypt is another step in Tawasul Telecom's strategic development.”

This expansion will enable Tawasul Telecom to further scale its offerings to content-oriented companies, cloud, hosting and CDN providers. Egypt is the gateway to some of Europe's leading producers of digital media, broadcasters, financial services organisations and enterprises.
