The news adds to HGC’s ability to provide comprehensive cloud solutions to wholesale telcos and enterprises globally using AWS cloud technologies.
“The achievement solidifies HGC’s AWS Cloud capability and further reinforce HGC’s position in both local and global telecommunications industry,” said Andrew Kwok, chief executive officer of HGC. “HGC is exploring opportunities to continue working with AWS to provide comprehensive cloud services, with the ability to reach customers at all levels, specifically corporate and enterprises. The recognition allows us to offer significant opportunities in important emerging areas such as smart city and Internet of Things (IoT). HGC will continue to be firmly committed to leveraging its infrastructure and services and advanced technologies to enhance connections locally and globally in the digital era.”
To achieve APN Advanced Technology Partner status, HGC had to show that it has built a strong AWS-based business, that it continues to differentiate and standout to AWS customers, and build a robust go-to market strategy with AWS.
Additionally, HGC says that this new status recognises its proven ICT technology supporting customers to embark on cloud journey and means that HGC can provide higher capability in one-stop solution management, and contribute and support End-to-End (E2E) ICT solutions to customers.
AWS is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. The global APN program helps partners build successful AWS-based businesses or solutions by providing business, technical, marketing, and go-to-market support. HGC joins the likes of CenturyLink which announced its status as an AWS managed service provider earlier this month and Kcom which became an AWS partner network for Amazon Connect back in July.
