Anam secures €350k investment for global expansion

SMS and A2P messaging service provider Anam Technologies has secured around €350,000 in investment taking its total recent funding to around €2.3 million, as it looks to invest in further research and develop and continue a global expansion,

The Irish company, which providers SMS firewall and A2P services to the likes of Deutsche Telekom, Digicel, HGC, Orange and Telenor, received backing worth around €350,000 from Enterprise Ireland.

Anam said it would use the financing to invest in further innovations in analytics and anti-fraud software, along with further global expansion. The company’s services are used to provide monitoring protection for over 350 million mobile network subscribers across 65 countries in South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia Pacific.

Julie Sinnamon, CEO Enterprise Ireland, said: ‘’Anam Technologies is part of a growing cadre of world-class tech companies that are winning global customers with pioneering technology.  Anam’s success is grounded in their strong commitment to research and innovation, which has contributed to their achievements to date.

“This investment from Enterprise Ireland will support the further development of Anam’s research and innovation activities. Our ambition is that this investment will help Anam to accelerate their growth plans, optimising their growth potential in global markets.”

The money from Enterprise Ireland is the latest funding it has secured, following a recent €2 million cash injection from parent company Ard Suas Holdings, according to a report from the Irish Times. It also secured a working capital loan from BMS Finance in November.

Anam executive chairman Darragh Kelly said: “Anam are focused on maintaining our position as the #1 Firewall Vendor worldwide, this funding, will enable us to further develop our analytics portfolio and to continue our global expansion.”
