tyntec's Trapp steps down as CTO

Thorsten Trapp, CTO of tyntec, has stepped down from his role, Capacity has exclusively learned.

“Thorsten and tyntec have mutually decided that he will no longer serve as CTO, but will still remain as an engaged shareholder and board member of the company,” a PR firm representing tyntec told Capacity.

The decision was made earlier this month, according to the source.

As of March 15 2016, Trapp’s bio was still on the company’s management page - it has since been removed.

Trapp co-founded the mobile messaging operator and cloud communications provider with chairman Ralph Ric Kunz in 2002 where he was responsible for technical, product strategy and development as well as intellectual property.

In addition to its main offices in Munich and Dortmund, Germany, tyntec also has offices in London, Singapore, San Francisco and on the Isle of Man
