Claro announced that Zenteno, who has been in his role since mid-2002, will take up the new challenge next month after it was announced Juan Carols Archila was to leave the Colombian operations to assume an international affairs leadership role at América Móvil.
Zenteno, who is credited with aiding the expansion of 3G and 4G coverage at the operator in Brazil, will assume similar responsibilities and will be in charge of fixed, mobile and business operations of Claro in Colombia.
The América Móvil-owned company has appointed Jose Antonio Felix, president of America Movil Brasil, to replace Zenteno’s position.
