Etisalat adds ChinaNetCenter to SmartHub

Cloud platform provider ChinaNetCenter has joined Etisalat’s SmartHub in move designed to bolster end-user experience across the region.

ChinaNetCenter is said to be China’s biggest CDN service provider, serving more than 3,000 content providers across the media, e-commerce and gaming industries to name but a few.

The Etisalat SmartHub provides access to the Emirates Internet Exchange (EMIX), and in joining the facility, ChinaNetCenter further expands its connectivity with other networks across the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

“We are delighted to have the presence of a reputed Chinese company as a member of our growing SmartHub community, which is now a leading regional telecoms service hub, providing regional connectivity and advances services to our partners,” said Ali Amiri, EVP, carrier and wholesale services at Etisalat.

“By connecting to EMIX network, ChinaNetCenter will be able to reach more market and customers who will benefit from faster and richer internet experience.”

ChinaNetCenter is looking to expand its business into new vertical markets, and the deal will also enable the company to leverage Etisalat’s low-latency connectivity across the emerging markets corridor.

“We are pleased that our wide delivery network can continue to deliver more enhanced digital experience across the web,” said Chu Minjian, board member and VP at ChinaNetCenter.

“It is essential to have a superior, reliable network as we empower organisations to tell their story effectively, anywhere and everywhere.”
